I went from battling to lose weight (17kgs of it) and emotional eating to getting back in a bikini and eating whatever I want, and I've stayed the same ever since. You know, there's a lot more to overcoming emotional eating than counting calories and running on a treadmill. In fact those two things are the least effective approach when it comes to stopping bingeing, overeating, secret eating, stress eating or whatever type of eating it is you're doing.
I spent many years doing the diet approach, believing if I just tried one more time I'd lose weight and stop eating but I was wrong. But once I looked within myself and understood WHY I wanted to eat and realised the real reasons WHY I was using food (for comfort, reward, happiness, stress relief) everything changed.
